For the character of Liz, Nitai drew on her broad range of experience. Liz metamorphoses from a brash library assistant to an obsessed reader before assuming the role of Hastur's human avatar.
The Pallid Mask is Nitai's first major role in a motion picture, following her 2004 turn as an extra in the film The Celestine Prophecy.
Nitai is currently in the process of moving to California.
