Avery Cahill is a Classics lecturer at the University of Florida. He specializes in Medieval Latin, Old Norse, and Scandinavian languages.

Avery translated passages of English text in to Latin for use in construction of the Book of Eibon and Dr. Applesway's recitation of those passages in the movie.

Avery is a huge fan of the works of H.P. Lovecraft and also loves Norwegian Science Fiction.
